Completed in 2005

The new building, as proposed, will be “somewhat taller” than the 47 stories of the previous building, according to state officials, but would have only about 1.7 million square feet of office space, 245,000 square feet less than the former building.

The replacement building, the base of which will be a parallelogram, will occupy the city block bounded by Barclay Street on the north, Vesey Street on the south, Washington Street on the west and the newly restored Greenwich Street on the east.
