Floors: 18
Architect: Davis Brody Bond

The Brooklyn campus of Polytechnic University will have its first residence hall for the Fall 2002 semester. It will house 400 students in two different room arrangements.

It will be located on the vacant "Westinghouse site" directly to the north of the campus. The City of New York currently owns the land and the University has the option to purchase the site, which it is exercising.

Approximately half of the students (mostly freshmen) will be housed in four student, two bedroom apartments. The four students in each apartment will share a bathroom and a small common area. Each floor will have a resident assistant and a study lounge.

The residence hall will also have a residential life office, two apartments for a director and assistant director, health offices, a laundry room, a first floor study room, a first floor general lounge, and a bike storage area.

The total gross square footage will be 120,000 and the building will be 18 stories tall with a cellar below ground level and a mechanical story on top.
