The first shot must be a realitively old one - look at the conditions of the Great Lawn. Any idea when it was taken?

It's hard to tell because a lot of the new apartment towers that were built on Broadway, particularly around Lincoln Center, and the like are out of the picture. My guess is 1995, or 1996 right before the reseeding.
