157 Hudson Street's Penthouse Triplets Have Tunnel Vision
September 25, 2009, by Pete The new penthouse additions at 157 Hudson. ![]() (click thumbnails to enlarge) How 'bout a little Friday penthouse porn from down at 157 Hudson Street, one of Tribeca's more interesting developments to come along in a while? The old American Express stable building is a pricey mix of old and new, with three glassy enclosures hidden up top—all with terraces and plenty of wide open space. On the south end is PH #4A, 3,800-square-footer with 4BRs, 5BAs and a ginormous 1,500-square-foot terrace facing south and west that opens onto all the main rooms. It can be called home for $4.95M. On the north side is PH #4B, slightly smaller but with equally epic terrace action (and views of the ever-changing Tribeca right across Laight Street), asking $5.1M. Last up is PH #5B, a duplex covering 4,000 square feet, with 3BRs, 3.5BA and two cozy terraces both overlooking the endless drama of... vehicles exiting the Holland Tunnel. No wonder it's the cheapest of the lot, available for $4.75M. Think those $1,189 to $1,375 prices-per-square-foot are a little low for new Tribeca penthouses? Don't forget that at 157 Hudson, the big boys lurk downstairs. 157 Hudson Street coverage [Curbed] 157 Hudson Street PH #4A in Tribeca [BHS] 157 Hudson Street PH #4B in Tribeca [BHS] 157 Hudson Street PH #5B [BHS] http://curbed.com/archives/2009/09/2...ision.php#more |

Not quite north Tribeca.
So white, bright and shiny. Curbed PriceUpper: Tribeca's Ice House Refreezes October 15, 2009, by Sara ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() As the market shows a few signs of a belated spring thaw, Ice House Penthouse E and its superbroker Dolly Lenz want to be ready. The 3,884-square-foot pad -- owned by Martha Stewart's daughter Alexis -- has hiked its asking price by 4 percent, from $12.4 million to $12.95 million. What you'll get for your money: a 3BR, 3.5BA duplex penthouse with floor-to-ceiling windows and a 14x34 foot outdoor terrace. Since it seems to be on the market unfurnished, we assume you won't get the opportunity to be blinded by your own furnishings. Get your bids in now, folks! ![]() Listing: 27 North Moore Street [Elliman] 27 North Moore Street #PHE [StreetEasy] Alexis Stewart Re-Lists in Tribeca [Cityfile] http://curbed.com/archives/2009/10/1...eezes.php#more |

New Piece of North Tribeca Tops Out on Laight Street
November 6, 2009, by Pete ![]() A block of solid old beauties. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() While waiting amid the clog of cars coming out of the Holland Tunnel down in Tribeca, take a look at the skeleton of steel that's gone up at 52 Laight Street. This one has been kicking around for a while, but its time has finally come. Developer Kengo Watanabe is the man with the money and his cohort is architect German Longoria of Suellen Defrancis Architecture. When it's complete there will be five full-floor condos and two duplex penthouses up top. Soon it will be covered in appropriately historic looking brick and limestone, with some added bits of faux-historical fibreglass (rendering in the gallery above). If all goes well it will blend right in with the bevy of beauties lining this block. Here's a plus for interested buyers with teenage daughters: It's just a short shot to the Pearline Soap palace over on Washington Street, where there's more to be found than mere soap in that box.
