Hi people i was just wondering if hotel rooms in New York allow 4 people to stay in one room. I went to the Millenium Hilton in December and they said thier max. per room was 3 people. But if a room has 2 double beds that means surely 4 people can stay there? or does it not work that way? Anyways if anyone has stayed at hotels in NYC that allows 4 people to stay in one room recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.

Four of us stayed in a 'quad' room (2 double beds) at the New York Helmsley on 42nd - no problem at all.

This definately depends on the hotel. W Union Square (or Lexington), Hudson Hotel, The Barclay - definately not from the basic rooms I've seen. The Hilton Times Square has very large rooms by NY standards.

Room 1919 at the New Yorker has two bathrooms. Plenty of room for 4 people.
