QE2 in NYC

Hey,

Does anyone know if the QE2 will be at the Red Hook Pier in Brooklyn when it gets in on January 9th or will it be docked on the Hudson in Manhattan like usual? Gotta be there when it gets in.

I will be aboard a private boat to photograph the QE2 as she departs. I have room for one or two more photographers. We board at a west side pier. Send me a PM if you would like to join me.

She departed about an hour late, at 6:04 pm. We paced her from 42nd Street to BPC. Our boat was straining to make 13 knots against the current. The Queen easily outran us.

I've been in these situations before. You set your camera to the best possible exposure and hope you get lucky. Utilizing a 19mm lens, I shot at 1/4 second, f3.5, ISO 1600. Results were good.
