The Marshak Science Building at the City College of New York (at 138th Street and Convent Avenue), already plagued with asbestos and mold problems, has started ejecting massive chunks of concrete to the sidewalks below. The building is closed through Monday, many classes cancelled and research projects disrupted.

I actually had an exam in there on Saturday that had to be moved last minute because of the closing.

Having experienced the Mar-shack, it may be the most qualified for demolition of any sizable building I've been in in my life. It's absolutely awful in there. Past the really bad design, there's constant mold, constant leaks (it rains on the first floor sometimes), unreliable elevators (I was stuck on one with 24 other people for 20 minutes without ventilation, for example), and weird and nasty stains all over.
Unfortunately it's simply getting a new facade next year. A pretty unremarkable one at that.
Side note: the building has structural issues as well. See: emergency bracing in the windows (I will post photos). Many people also say they've felt periods of vibration on occasion. Rumor has it the building's foundations aren't the most stable around.
It was also built kind of backwards but that's not too relevant.
