Every time I travel along the FDR Drive I wonder about the pathway that parallels the highway and the river. Does that path have a name? Does anyone know any good access points? Is there a website with a good, detailed map of the route? I have walked south along the path starting at 23rd St., but it seems that access is pretty limited north from there.

It has a name but I can't remember it at the moment. There are streches where the walkway isn't open as of yet, or construction is going on. I think the longest off the path strech is from the UN up to 61st Street, where you can get back on the path. From 61st St, I've walked it all the way up to the pedestrian bridge that goes over to Randall's Island. I know the path continues much farther, but I haven't gone up that far.
