What about those of us who live in the suburbs? I live in NJ, but goto school in nyc everyday. I also plan to hopefully work thier after graduation, and one day live in Manhattan. But since I live so close and can go there whenever I want..... I don't know what to put..........

Well, I guess that counts. Under strict definition, it wouldn't, but since as you said you live close and go there whenever you want, I think it's okay, and dont' differ than, say, someone living in Queens.

Hmm...I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post such a poll. I wanted to get an idea of the info of the poeople here, but since this sub-forum is for "New Yorkers" there will be a bias for results from New Yorkers (even though I, for instance, a non-NYC resident, go here all the time).

I know it is not Jersey. But it is LIKE Jersey, in terms of distance from the NYC center. It is all part of the same metropolis.

Well maybe you should ask about 'living in manhattan' as opposed to NYC and there wouldn't be all this confusion. Queens is part of NYC. NJ is like a suburb in comparison even though it is closer to manhattan. It is just like suburbs in Long island that are close to Queens.
