We promise. Have a nice holiday, BR.

Happy Thanksgiving, everybody.

Turkeys are hard to rustle up in these parts. We're having our traditional duck and sashimi with assorted veggies....

Thanks londonlawyer, here's one for you.

Thanks, Stern.

While I am a huge fan of voluptous black and Latina ladies, Beyonce and Jo Lo are more to my liking.

Indeed, she truly embodies the lyrics of her song "Bootyliscious"!

Me too! I just can't bring myself to dating a skinny woman. I want to feel as if I'm holding a real women; not some 12 year old boy. Real women, have curves! :D

Hey... Gabourey is pretty awesome. I guess not in that way, but still...

Also, happy T-Day 2009.

OK, curves are nice, but J-LO's ass in that last one is beyond gigantic. TOO much of a good thing.

In total contrast, Mark Anthony is so skinny...he should hit the gym and bulk up a bit.

Seriously though, I can appreciate giving thanks, a day for families and friends to get together...these are wonderful things....but I can't understand the turkey fetish. It seems so silly. Calling it Turkey Day etc. is idiotic.

Was she a Latina in the US or a Brit in the UK? I love voluptuous women, and therefore, very much appreciated the full figure form of UK women. All of that beer drinking leads to lovely arses and hips -- like Fergie's daughters, Nigella, etc.

What's to understand? It's the Once A Year National Bird. We eat it.

She was Dominican in NY. I am also in full appreciation of Britain's great women! Kelly Brook (http://images.google.co.uk/images?q=kelly%20brook&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi) is my favourite.

Alonzo,

Who is the chubby young blond who's a cousin to Harry and William? (I'm not talking about Fergie's kids.)

Alonzo-ny

Zara Phillips? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zara_Phillips) She isn't particularly chubby though.

Yes. She's delicious and Rubensesque.

A sign of the times ...

Down here in Soho more stores than ever are open for business this Thanksgiving Day. Just a couple of years ago this was unheard of. This was always the day when retail shut down, and people could slowly amble about without having the buzz of shopping on their minds. But now the rush to spend and "save" seems non-stop.

MidtownGuy
November 26th, 2009, 03:02 PM
^What's to understand? We shop.

Sort of like....

What's to understand? It's the Once A Year National Bird. We eat it. I think it's pretty clear I didn't mean I was trying to understand the actual eating of it. Just like I'm fairly sure you understand the basics of shopping....I was being a bit more philosophical...considering for a moment the way Americans do things...I should have known better.

As if I'm the first person that wondered what the big freaking deal is with a certain kind of dry poultry.

Anyway, thanks for the insight. For years I wondered what all that oral activity was... with the teeth moving towards each other and the mystery flesh being masticated between them. Now you've made it all clear...it's the national bird! They must have introduced it as a substitute when eagles starting getting too scarce.

lofter1

Turkey is just the NB once a year ...

And, given our national nature (which goes along with the shopping thing), we choose to consume it.

Roast Eagle? No doubt some have tried it (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090921094120AA5VWub) but it doesn't sound too appealing.

^ My favorite part from that link:

>>><<<

Baked {Bald} Eagle and Okra

INGREDIENTS
• 370 g uncooked white rice
• 1362 g whole bald eagle, cut into pieces
• 2 (28 ounce) cans whole peeled tomatoes, chopped, juice reserved
• 200 g small fresh okra
• 2 bay leaves
• 1185 ml bald eagle broth
• salt and black pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Spread the rice over the bottom of a 10x15 inch baking dish. Layer the bald eagle pieces, tomatoes, okra, and bay leaves on top of the rice. Pour the broth and reserved tomato juice over the ingredients and season with salt and pepper.
3. Cover and bake for 2 hours, until the bald eagle is tender and falling off the bone. Remove the bay leaves. Serve in large bowls with plenty of rice and sauce.
FOOTNOTES
• Cook's Note
• You may need to add liquid as the rice and bald eagle cooks, depending on the humidity and temperature of individual ovens. The more liquid you add, the saucier the dish will be.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Yeah, spendid, indeed!

@ LL, I wouldn't want to be her IUD, I would like to be the Bloke, who CAUSES her to be on the IUD. :D

@ Lofter, funny video! I hope Palin has a nice Thanksgiving, also. Hopefully, it was better than last year's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_ybEbrQeOA)...
