Unfortunately the doors to get inside the clock were all locked... hesitated to go thru the exit door as it said an alarm will sound though i think its more likely than not that its not funcional. ill test them another day.

Belive me it wasnt easy... there was more security than usual being that this was the open house. The only way up was thru the front elevators right in front of the security desk...timing and stealth are everything... after i got to the 16th floor had to avoid the hallway cameras to get to the tower elevators where i was almost caught by roaming security..fortunately there was a janitor closet where i got in.. the observatory was closed i went above to an office that was being refurbished man the view was awesome i could have stayed there all day,maybe im thinking next time ill camp out for the night!

Seriously, I don't recommend doing it again, could be prosecuted very seriously...

But thanks for sharing the first time with us. :wink:

Yeah, thanks Sniperwolf. That takes balls! I thought janitor closets were only conveniently placed on movie sets. But the views are rewarding. I like the mix of the Downtown skyline with Brooklyn. I can't believe this place has an observatory but won't let anyone in it.
