It was a really weird day today. At least around 2. The sky was freaky looking. Anyway, I was in the car delivering the sister to dropoff to go back to college and I brought the camera in case I saw anything worth using it on. I sorta got a few shots, not really, they're from the inside of a moving car. But hopefully they shove the jist across.

Queens

Long Island City 'progenitor' skyline

Brooklyn

Most of Downtown's skyline hidden beneath trees and an uphill slope. 12 Metrotech looking ugly in dark skies.

Manhattan

Trumped! .... looking a little 2d

Approaching the bridge. Nice modernist building on the right.

Queens has a great look. And the skies, it reminds of Jacksonville or Tampa Bay.

And Ghul your father has some very hairy arms there, which if you dint mind me saying isn't so great of a look

Yes, I'm sure if he entered a contest he would win the most apelike.

TLOZ, thanks, but I'm not actually wearing that hat. It's a mini thing hanging above one of the windows.

Cool photos, especially of Lower Manhattan. Too bad the World Trade Center isn't there anymore :( .

Very Gotham. Kinda reminds me of Philly City Hall.

Yeah, the Municipal Building is (in my opinion) one of Downtown's most elegant structures. It has a sense of what's around it and how it looks from all angles. What a contrast to some other purely functional towers *COUGH* 60 Wall.

Excellent shots there Gulcrapek :D

I was recently surprised to find out that Queens had a Citibank aka Citicorp scraper as well.

IMHO Not a great tower, but not so bad either.

50 levels @ 658ft. Completed in 1990 and designed by architects SOM.

Looks a bit lop-sided in this pic :?
