Excellent. Your pictures really aren't snapshots, ddny. They're carefully composed.

When I saw the copyright, I didn't realize it was yours.
Nice job.

Someone has to make an animated GIF. Anyone who hasn't seen the actual animated illumination missed out a lot.

I like the building better from those photos, but it still hasn't grown on me...

It's difficult to do that, since the right exposure takes over a second. *During that time, the lights will have moved up significantly along the light strip.

I found the "beacon" of light coming out ofthe top to be rather anemic. *The publicity packs really built it up to be much more than what it is. *They need a light akin to the Luxor beacon up there.

True, but it's still pretty innovative to have the beam "cut" through the building. *A little something different for TS.

I hope the buildings they do in LIC for Queens West has cool little features like this.

Architect Laurinda Spear, and husband Architect Bernado Fort- Brescia, in their firm, Arquitectonica. Together, they both pursued an unconventional modernism that is abstract and romantic, playful as well as dramatic, and forceful.

I love those night shots.

Check out some more of their cool designs. :D

While you are browsing the Arquitectonica website, admire pictures #3 and #4 of the Westin Times Square - taken by yours truly.

Is there a method to the madness as to why the portion of the arc on the building that is lit is greater at some times than others??
