A long walk including the piers. It was too hot and humid to even walk to Park Avenue Place, sorry. I also wanted to get far away from a bum who had chucked out his guts/liver/lungs/spleen in a bathroom stall next to mine at Citicorp.

Conde Nast Antenna - I think it might end up a little too big..

AOL Time Warner Center - They really do look better than this. They're not photogenic.

Bloomberg Tower - looked kinda icky today. The haze probably did things to the properties of the glass.

Beacon Court

Regent Tower - Thankfully the crappy whateverstone used for the garage isn't being used on the tower.

Serenade of the Seas - Royal Caribbean's newest ship, docked today for its naming ceremony and maiden voyage.

I wasn't supposed to be there. But the security is such that I could sink the ship without any problems, so I took pictures instead.

Hey, great photo shoot Eli.

AOLTW is getting better every-time I see it, infact every building here, such is the case. Im glad whatever stone isnt being used, lol, good one ghul, but khaki is an awful building color regardless of treatment.

A couple of questions....
First are catwalks being assembled at Bloomberg Tower, or maybe they had been dis-assembled, in either case I know that break in a vertical row was not there a week ago.

Second question is how about the Hearst Tower, what's happening there?

Thanks.

I think catwalks, yeah.

Hearst is fully shrouded.

Great update.

That's the first pic I've seen of the Regent U/C.

Does everyone hate it that much?

Stern - one of the scaffolding towers is coming down on the west side of Bloomberg *- you can watch them coming down on the collected images I've taken from the web cam.

Love to see these buildings taking shape. *Also, great pics of the ship - more and more cruise business, great for NYC.

Beautiful pics. *Conde Nast is definitely standing out more.

on random house picture, is the bottom part actually the real base of that building or does it just appear that way ?

This building isn't talked about much, but I always liked it...(It appears it still isn't complete?)

It's extremely subdued. *More of a background building than anything else. *Might be a nice skyline pinnacle in Omaha or something, but here it's just intended to fill in a gap.

Yeah, and the setbacks sort of add a little something to the skyline from the west. BTW I think residents are moving in, there are shades starting to appear in the windows.

...and from Central Park, too. Nothing spectacular though.

A blah eyesore, I've come to admit to myself.

I like the trend of tall mixed-use buildings, though. *It makes a lot of sense, though this instance is a little clumsy -- a skinny residential finger sticking out of a fat office building. *TWC seems to integrate the different uses better.

Gotta love Mid-Town. When is the Conde Nast antenna going to top out? The outer facade of the Regent Tower is made of stone. Looked more like cardboard to me.Haha.

I think the Broadway elevation is much more appealing. *The Eight Ave side looks exactly like the "back of a building".
