Here is a lousy photo of the Nelson Building. *I consider it to be the finest looking building in the whole city. *If you all have better shots, post 'em. *This building is beautiful.

I think its among the less interesting examples of its era.

I agree. But to each his own.

Let's be serious here. *It's a fine building. *But if you had to choose between Nelson Tower and Chysler, Empire State, Woolworth, *Chanin, GE, Seagram, Citcorp, Sony, AOLTW, 40 Wall St, 70 Pine St, and, say Lincoln, world-class architectural icons--You'd choose this?

well ur right - i wouldn't choose it as the finest - i do think it is the most underrated - it's just a handsome looking building that would get mucuh more attention in any other city, but is unremarkable in NYC...

It's a darned good looking building!
I've always liked this one and it's sort of
twin The Nelson a little farther north.

The Navarre Building? (http://www.skyscrapers.com/re/en/wm/bu/115560/)

I think this building better qualifies for being the most underrated, tucked away on Seventh south of 42nd and off any major street. It oozes gotham IMHO.
