I love WNY in part because I get a huge number of ideas for activities with my girlfriend here (haha, yes yes). From my experience the lamest-sounding things turn out to be the most fun things to do together. No tourist will take the Roosevelt Island Tram over a visit to Liberty Island yet it's easily the former that has given me more laughs and fun.

Anyway, I wanted to contribute something to others so I wanted to share this really cool up and coming website that features deals on rather creative new york activities.

They have things like yoga sessions, wine classes (today), tea tastings, restaurant deals, spas, all kinds of stuff.

I've already used a couple of their deals and have been really impressed with the variety and while the prices are not always WOW they do generate a lot of great ideas for things many of us may not have tried in the past.

So anyway, here's sharing:

GROUPON.com (http://www.groupon.com/r/uu276161/)

It basically works to get us good deals by getting enough people in on it. Quite a novel idea and has clearly been working very nicely so far.

What do you guys think?

It's a great concept and it seems to be generating the numbers to move it forward. It seems to geared more toward non-essential items. In these times, I'm looking for discounts on the necessities of life.
