Hi. I'm thinking of moving from beautiful Astoria, where I am now because of its European low-key, quasi-suburban feel, for a completely different environment in South Park slope, around Fourth Avenue and 17th Street. My obvious concern is safety. Does anyone have any experience living in this area or any anecdotes they'd like to share? I'd be really indebted. Thanks much.
