Has anyone ever been to G2 in NYC??

I heard of an event on Monday nights at G2 Lounge, in the meat packing district. Does anyone know more about it?

Meat packing + Alphanumeric name (G2) = trendsetterwannabepalace.

I am not saying I know, but I am picturing colored lights under the tables/bars and stainless steel.... Bleh....

G2 has been a disappointment to me in pretty much all regards. It's not that "awesome" as you expect from a typical "hype" club (Think 1 Oak, The Box etc), and it just seems to be visually sort of a mix of modern club and old speakeasy. By all means, if you go there with friends I am sure you can have fun, the drinks are what you'd expect etc, but there are a lot better clubs in the city. As much as I hate being a broken record, best place to head on a Monday is still Butter.
