My house had our first day of chilling in the backyard, barbecuing and drinking beers yesterday.
Hot dogs + Coors Light + sun = yay!

Why do people drink light beer?
As it works at our house, if you don't do your weekly chores by Sunday night, you owe the house a 30 rack of beer, your choice (miss out two weeks in a row and you owe a beer ball, three weeks is a keg of cheap beer, ect.). I wasn't the one who messed up, so I had no say in the matter.
And trust me, I have no desire to drink ANY light beer. I'm happiest with heavy winter-style lagers, even during the spring and summer.

Change the rules.
Make it a $ minimum rather than a beer quota.
Miss your chores, you owe at least $30 of beer.
Twice, $60, etc etc.
Any extra is written down and credited to you as a freebee later. Receipts Required (or at least proof that you spent more than the minimum. Receipts needed for actual $$ credit above the minimum...)
That way you can get a case of good shizznit (At LEAST Yueng) and not have to deal with guys finding the cheapest crap on sale at the local supermarket liquor store! ;)
