Moving Companies in NYC

I don't plan to move anytime soon (hopefully never), but recently a friend moved from our building after many years residing here. The experience with NYC moving companies was filled with thrills and spills.

Any good info -- including warnings and FYIs -- regarding NYC moving companies and storage of items in the NYC area can be posted. Costs, crews, scams would be of interest.

I always use moving companies that advertise in the gay magazines. Never a problem. :cool:
