I'm sick and tired of Cleveland. It's a complete heap of trash, there's nothing to do, the city is too dangerous, the people in general are gross, it's flat here, there aren't many trees... Moving here has just made my life too depressing.

I'm 18... My dad got a job out here and we moved... So obviously I can't just pick up and move back. The kids in this town are lame... Seriously... We live in one of Cleveland's most exclusive suburbs and these kids are all obese, weird, and a little on the crooked side.

I need to move back to Wilton, CT before I go crazy. But I won't be able to afford Wilton when I graduate. It's one of Fairfield County's wealthiest towns and I'm just an 18 year old kid. I haven't seen my friends in years and the only time I can talk to them is on the phone.

Say it with me:

F**k Cleveland.

Go Yankees!!

Paulie, you've been gone awhile, and ever since, the tri state area hasn't been the same. It's changed for the worse and sadly is no longer cool. Even if you were to return, it's unlikley things would improve. So just stay put and we'll give periodic updates as to where the great place to live is. You never know, maybe it'll be Cleveland.

I never knew it was "cool," I just loved the area. The stores, the people, the beauty of NYC's suburbs were all things that made me love it. Stew Leonard's, the Danbury Mall, the Palisades Mall, the Stamford Town Center, etc.

The area had perfect forestry, perfect topography, and perfect houses. The kids were all in shape, liked to have a good time, liked sports and we had connections.

wth...You remind me why I hate most of New York's suburbs.

And they're hardly unique, you can find the same type of burbs from Boston to Atlanta.

There are parts of the suburbs that sucked like Spring Valley, but I liked areas in Westchester County and Fairfield County. It was quiet, hilly, forested, people weren't skanks, and lacrosse is big. You can't deny the fact that New York has beautiful suburbs in Fairfield County. I mean the houses are all different and there's not many new developments (at least in my part of Fairfield County) because most of it was already developed for a quite a long time.

I'm not saying the malls are what made me love it and that's it. But I miss the area itself. It's a beautiful area and I miss the the coyotes howling at night, driving around the winding roads up the hills, playing lacrosse all the time, and going to that school district. The Wilton schools were all renovated to make them look literally brand new and they did a great job on it. The schools are beautiful and the district was rated in the top 3 in Connecticut along with Weston and Westport.

Fairfield County to me is like New York City to you. Words can't describe how you feel about it... And I love New York City. The fact that I can be 40 minutes away if that from one of the biggest cities in the world and hear coyotes was awesome.

What's the problem, your 18 your an adult. If your still in High School you should be finishing up your Senior year in a few months, at that point you have the opportunity to do one of the following:

1.) Go away to College
2.) enter military service
3.) Get a job and start saving money so that you can move to where ever you want.

You make it out like your trapped with your parents, at 18 you are anything but trapped as soon as your done with School.

Yes but make sure to finish school first. And understand, people and places do change. When you come back, things will be partly the same, but just as much different. You have to prepare yourself for that possible disappointment. Be happy with you first, the place second....

I haven't seen my friends in yearsIt seems to me that you don't miss Wilton; you miss your boyhood in Wilton.

Well, you're 18 now, and if you go back, it'll be as a man. No matter where you are on earth, there's a big difference between living in your parents' house and being out on your own.

Don't go back to recapture the fun you had growing up; do it because that's where you want to be as an adult.

Trust me man my parents are all over me about my grades... But I'm going into the Army as an MP anyway. I leave for Basic Training in like 5 months.

Fairfield County, about 30-50 minutes from NYC depending on how fast you drive.

Wilton is right next to New Canaan down in the left hand corner... It's the next town to the east although it's not listed on the map...
