Launch area is the southern tip of Roosevelt Island.

Bloomberg is quite short, I remember seeing him once as he was heading for the subway at city hall.

It was nice walking on the upper deck of the bridge, where the cars usually are, and have a view in both directions. The pedestrian walkway is on the North side on the lower deck, so it's a treat to see the South view. I will post some pictures of that later.

how come they removed the "spires" on the finials from the top? i saw an old photo and the bridge looked bad ass with those on top.
