I'm heading to NYC for a quick 2 day trip from Toronto this week. I'm coming in around 6am on Wednesday and leaving at 9:30pm on Thursday.

I was hoping for good weather, however looking at the forecast it looks like there will be a chance that it might rain during those 2 days.

Most of the stuff I wanted to see and do is outside so I'm in need of some suggestions for things to do if it does rain.

I've done some of the big museums already in my previous trips, but I'm thinking the MET will definitely occupy some time around.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Why should rain stop you from doing most things? Unless you plan on sunbathing or picnicing, take one of these with you and you will be fine:

What kind of things do you like?

You can get discount tickets to nearly every Broadway and Off-Broadway show. There are museums, concerts, lectures, restaurants...

We need more info about you to make recommendation that might work for you.

Twisted Sister will probably be your only hope of seeing any of those bands in the city...
Even though they said a Twisted Christmas was their last album,
they are releasing a new album in 2009.
The songs on this album will feature in Twisted Christmas the Musical;
the musical will also feature their greatest hits and the Twisted Christmas songs.
The musical will feature on Broadway in 2009.
Can't guarantee it will be raining ;)

I saw Twisted Sister & Iron Maiden live-in-concertat the Long Beach Arena in Long Beach,CA. druing April 1985. I saw KISS & Ted Nugent live-in-concert at the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim (the Honda Center) in Anaheim,CA. on March 18th,2000. I also saw Judas Priest & Anthrax live-in-concert in Los Angeles,CA. on January 18th,2002. Which other heavy metal groups which be in New York City all different times in 2009?
