My family really enjoys coming into the city more so than going to Disney.I am having a problem trying to get my brother and his family to join us.We would love for them to join us but every time I mention it ,he goes into a cold sweat, and starts ranting and raving about bad things that will happen to him.My wife and I have been bringing our children to N.Y. for 17 years now and we have never ever had a problem.Any advice would be appreciated.:)

If reluctant family lives in PA try what some of my friends did as a gift to their reluctant parents. There are buses, constant streams of buses, that bring people in for a day to see a show in NY. It's only a day, they don't have to drive, and it's an easy quick trip. You join them for lunch or dinner and they get back on the bus and return. Baby first step.

Uh, leave him at home. It's plenty crowded here without him, and it sounds like you'd have a better time if he wasn't with you, anyhow.

An acquaintance who'd never been to New York finally bought tickets to a show and flew in with his wife. Fearful of Manhattan's well-publicized perils, he booked a room at the airport. On his return, he declared that he couldn't understand what folks saw in New York.
