Hi there just came back from spending the weekend in NYC played hockey at the Lasker rinks Central Park north around 110th great complexe with 2 outdoor rinks one for hockey the other public skating, $8.00 for the whole day a great deal free parking on 110th.

dDd allot of driving, around ENY, man what a bad part of town if you still want 80’s look head out there many vacant lots still allot of garbage graffiti and boarded up buildings. Look under the el L line or 3 line it’s really very bad, the Bronx does not have this feel, I think this place has gotten worst over the past 5 years or at least since I’ve been there, very cool errie place to see.

Harlem, it’s al over, I’m now calling this place " THE NEW HARLEM ", did not see one trace of vintage Harlem, this place has changed so much it does not look like Harlem anymore all the spots that were down are now built up including Bradhurst and 145th Frederick Douglas 150th go down Adam Clayton Powell blvd everything has been re-built, it’s incredible, people out enjoyin life the quality of life in NYC has changed like nothing before, a great place to live right now albeit very expensive

Criss Crossed the Bronx and so many spots have changed, one throwback is 163rd and Brooks ave, check out that angle massive vacant lot with cars dead on it really a little look back at the 80’s but again this place everything has been rebuilt. Grant ave around 166th used to be vacant garbage lots, brand new highrises, telling you get there now
NYC is being eaten alive and what we liked for the past 40 years is 90% gone.

I'd love to live here, anyone want to hire a radio guy let me know...

I agree with your first statement and have to give it up to you with the latter. What I liked about this city is dead and gone- if you want it, take it.

Not much left to take and simply too expensive.
You live in the Bronx don’t you? Everything is changing for the better, great but the Big Rotten apple is gone and that had it’s side could not walk after dark in the park, tour brochures warning tourists not to go above 110th after dark, avoid going up to the Bronx, you don’t see that anymore

Still a good idea to stay out of the Bronx at night. Stay out of the park at night; there is so much to do and enjoy, stay safe.
NYC is fun and you can do anything from sports, arts, food, walk, shop etc....

I stay in the Bronx almost every night of the year, Char. I don't know what you're talking about.

"Still a good idea to stay out of the Bronx at night."

I’ve criss crossed the Bronx at night on this trip albeit by car and saw nothing but nothing to not make me want to be there. That’s the difference between NYC and every other city this place is reinventing itself, while Detroit Philly, Camden Washington St-Louis etc are still hemorrhaging and loosing biz and people.

I love the Bronx this place is magical with all the good and bad.

Where abouts are you, i think you might have said around Alexander and Bruckner.I was there around the McDonalds before crossing the 3rd ave bridge ne pubs and biz opened in this area that was at one point desolate. Could you imagine how people that left back in 1977-79 would feel to come back and see this place today.
