specialty computer parts stores in nyc

what are some stores that carry specialty pc parts? not just the main parts like the big box stores carry, but special cables or adapters/connectors/etc?
most of the stuff i need, i have to order offline... this is kind of annoying when i have to wait a couple days for shipping. anyone know of any?

You can definitely try 'J&R Music and Computer World' at 23 Park Row (Right near City Hall). If you are still willing to try online, check out CompUSA.com (http://www.compusa.com/) and Tiger Direct (http://www.tigerdirect.com/).

Newegg.com has been very good to me :) I've found J&R not to be very good for getting individual parts etc.

Start phishing around in Chinatown. There are electronis stores there that you can get all sorts of stuff.......

But look up the price on Newegg first. If you see an item in CT for $40 that NE is selling for $15 you can probably haggle....
