The difference between Tanger Outlets and Woodbury

Hi ,
In a few weeks we will be traveling to NY for the fourth time ... we love to shop in the malls so the past years we went to Woodbury C. but now i saw that there is another large mall there named Tanger Outlets.

Can someone tell methe difference and more important wihch one is more worth while ..

I cannot tell you anything about Woodbury but I used to live near the Tanger Outlets for a bit... Tanger is a HUGE outlet mall. If you want shopping Tanger is a good place for it, discounts since it is factory outlets...

Only thing is I dunno what part of NY you will be in but Tanger is a pretty good hike out in River Head - Long Island. My Grandmother lives in River Head and thought about taking the LIRR from Manhattan to River Head... HAHAHA Yea right Hopstop says it is about a four hour trip:eek: and that is only to the train station... You then will have to find a way to Tanger, from memory it is not within walking distance.

Maybe you will be able to take the Jitney out to eastern LI? Or maybe find a bus service offering a trip out to Tanger. I have ran into someone upstate here at the Waterloo Outlets (nothing near the size of Tanger) and he told me he was on a weekend trip with a china town type bus... They went to Tanger, Waterbury, Waterloo off the NYS thru way in Seneca Falls/Waterloo, NY then off to some big outlet in Canada. If you find trip like that it seems right up your alley.

If you do go out to Tanger, take some time to enjoy eastern Long island, it is beautiful.

Thank you for your response ! We've hired a car so we'll drive up there ourselves. Long Island sounds great ... we wil sure take our time there !

Just 3 more weeks and then we are in The City :) can't wait to be back there !
