Anyone have a favorite TV show?
Recently I've been addicted to the BRAVO Channel. This includes shows like Top Design, Project Runway, and the new show: Tabatha's Salon Takeover.
I don't really watch morning shows, but will occasionally watch Live with Regis and Kelly because I'm a huge Kelly Ripa fan. I think she is hilarious!
I will also if it's on watch shows like The Hills, and Gossip Girl.
What's yours?

Love to watch the "CW 11 Morning News." Jill Nicolini, Tiffany McElroy, Linda Church, Lisa Mateo, Tamsen Fadal, Sukanya Krishnan, Kristina Behr, and Emily Frances, are all beautiful women to watch in the morning. :)

Mad Men is good too.
I have to say, I watched an episode of the Tabatha show and I found it difficult to look at her face, due to the poor quality of her plastic surgery.

Actually I really enjoyed Breaking Bad on A and E. It ended wanting more.....Heroes are good but sometimes its hard to follow.

Can someone explain all the fuss with 30 rock.... I just don"t get it I watched it once but wasn't the funniest. And the ratings are not that good.....It gets great reviews but the ratings are lousy
NYC4Life
October 2nd, 2008, 06:49 PM
That can be explained by the fact 30 Rock is where NBC is based, and is technically a spin-off of Saturday Night Live (SNL).

I like it because she makes a lot of geek remarks about living here. I think it's a poster child for all the NYC critics, and those Hollywood critics that have spent time here.

My (currently airing) Top Three:
Gossip Girl
Heroes
Ugly Betty
Those are my hard-core-have-to-watch-every-week shows.
Then there's just "filler" shows. LOL.

Top Gear is awesome!
I really didnt think you yanks would "get" Top Gear?
kz1000ps
October 4th, 2008, 03:20 PM
Oh, us yanks "get" it. I mean, what isn't there to get? It features amazing (or amazingly bad :D) cars driven to their limits and does it in a gorgeously produced and seriously entertaining fashion (they should hire me for PR!). All of my friends who like cars (plus a few who don't) and have seen the show have instantly fallen in love with it.
Its popularity all over the world is the reason why the Beeb is currently producing an American (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Gear_(US_TV_series)) version (to premier on NBC next year) and is already airing an Australian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Gear_Australia) counterpart for that country. Hopefully now the colonies will have a response to all of Jezza's jabs!

The 'versions' will suck without the UK presenters. Top gear used to be nothing special until the trio got together.

Agreed also, but I'm going to withhold from completely writing them off until I see them. If they go down in flames, so be it -- as long as the original stays with the same presenters and producers I'll be content.

With the ratings it gets I think it has lasted longer than some shows that don't have that going for it.......do you agree Stache

Late Show with Conan O'Brien
Hardtalk (BBC)
Law and Order (esp with Jerry)
NYPD Blue (starring Zac from Saved by the Bell in the last season)
The Love Boat (greatest TV show ever made - what other TV show had for example Tom Hanks and Tori Spelling in the same episode!)
Everyone from Haltson, Warhol to Hasselhoff and Richard Dean Anderson starred in that show. Gene Kelly and many Hollywood greats too.
Cruise Liners, world cities and oceans, and megastars from the 30s to the early 80s.
Nuff said.

Benniest, my g/f got me totally hooked on Project Runway on a rainy Saturday when they had a PR marathon. Now I make sure to tape it.
Sarah Silverman anyone?

Sarah Silverman anyone?
My friends and I are diehard South Park fans, and several times now I've had to persuade them to stay in their seats once the new SPs are over to try to get them hooked on Sarah. Almost all of them who do come away saying something to the effect of, "it's a lot better than I thought it'd be," and some will even exclaim, "that s*** was hilarious!"
I love it first and foremost because, as I said on page two, I love Mr. Show, and it's not hard at all to see that strain of comedy running through this show.

I'm a bit nostalgic about so-called cult TV, particularly British. I've just bought the complete series of The Persuaders, with Tony Curtis and Roger Moore (marvelous and amusing on-screen camararderie between them). A marathon screening is imminent.
