Hi guys,
We are getting a dog (one of these - wifes choice, not mine!)
http://www.valdaro.co.uk/Choc%20boy.JPG
And we need a name.
I want a New York related name.
I wanna call it Brooklyn, but because of the stupid Beckhams child being called that, she thinks its chavvy.
So any suggestions please!
Thanks
John
(my other suggestion was fugly- but she didnt like that either! LOL)

I wish I had a name to suggest, but I am without one. In lieu of that, however, I will warn you against one possible temptation.
Whatever you do, avoid naming it "Rip Van Wrinkle," or variations of same. That has become a cliché of the shar pei of late, and I suspect it is because it is oh too cute and consequently oh too frequent.
I regretted naming my late Irish Setter what I thought was the perfect name, "Clancy, " for this reason.
Good luck in your quest.

Name it "Morphy Richards"
It looks like it needs ironing.

That dog looks like something you'd sue the laundry over. You should immediately get it spaded and Sanforized.
Anyway, I'd call it: Prune
(which is BTW also the name of a famous NY restaurant... so there you are.)

Since your dog is hot (or will be with that heavy coat on), how 'bout naming it after the world's most well known hotdog purveyor and a NY (Coney Island) institution, Nathan's?
