I feel sorry New Orleans, sunny and pretty in Chicago, and they get pounded by another storm.

This is insane. I was watching FOX News earlier tonight as they were covering the storm and it was just mind blowing to watch the radars of these stormS now that goth Gustav and Hanna are both in "destroying mode."

Has Gustav reached Category 5 yet? I know when I was watching FOX, at one point winds reached 150 miles per hour and a Cat. 5 is 155 mph winds. Did it raise?

I survived Typhoon Nuri in Hong Kong this time last week when the whole city shut down on the Friday.

Good luck to those in NO and Texas!

I have the feeling that NO is going make it through this one ok. What ever happens, let's not forget about the smaller communities affected by this storm. The gulf coast is all about mom and pop establishments.

The entire country should be thankful that McOldie didn't choose Louisiana Governor Jandel as his running mate -- I've just switched the channel away from Jandel after listening to him droning non-stop for minutes-on-end regarding governmental preparedness and evacuation procedures as Gustav approaches.

Earlier Bush was trying to drum up some energy while reading his prepared statements regarding Gustav. Deadly delivery.

It seems the Republicans are just plain tired. Time for a nap. Go ...

The Levees in New Orleans appear to be withstanding the storm, keep our fingers crossed.

That Led-Zep song "When the Levee Breaks" has been playing in my head all day. Anyone else hear it?
