Started my research into our trip to New York in the Summer and found a bar which looks superb. Its in Williamsburg / Brooklyn (The address is Brooklyn) and we're staying near Penn Station. I've planned the trip using the Subway arriving around 5pm-ish.

My problem is getting back to our hotel afterwards. I dont fancy getting the subway esp at One or Two am. Would it be possible to get a Taxi in that area at that time or would I be better pre-booking something. I'd prefer something that lets us sample some other bars in the area if this place is rubbish or stay till we get chucked out if its good. Thanks.

If you want to take a cab, you may hail one down or if you see one sitting. When I went out in Williamsburg I had trouble finding a cab only because I was staying in Brooklyn and the drivers only seemed interested in going back to Manhattan, so maybe no problem for you. You can also take a private car... They should have numbers in the bar for you or even call one for you. I can't tell you about $ though...

Thanks thats great. We've never been to the US before so wasnt sure how things would work regarding Taxis especially outside Manhattan. Not too worried about $ because we're planning most of our trips around the Subway and Buses so the odd Taxi shouldnt be too much of a problem.

If you can't find a cab, then just take the subway back to Manhattan, you will be surprise to see so many people taking the subway at 2:00 am, especially on a weekend.

It'll probably be a Weekday. We may get the Subway back to Manhattan but its nice to know we have other options, just in case.
