North or South
North is Hells Kitchen area and its pretty cool.
South is lower west which is cool too.
I'm pretty sure Birdland is on 44th near 8th.
Blue note is on west 3rd near 6th ave
Iridium is all the way downtown west
jazz standard at E 27th near Park
Photos Bryant Park which is on 42nd between 5th and 6th aves
Grand Central Station Park Ave and 42nd
Top of Rockefeller Center 49th b/w 5th and 6th.
central park starting at 59th:
reservoir uptown is nice, people with toy boats on the east side along with baseball fields and the Met, the lake and the boathouse are in the middle- rent a boat
Food:
Vinyl Diner 9th ave 51st
Island Burger 51st and 9th
Emapanada mama across the street
Marseilles at 44th and 9th
Pop Burger at 14th and 9th
CHelsea Market during the day -14th and 9th
Johns pizza at 43rd near 8th
lower west has tons of cafes on certain blocks

If you really want to see something different and kinda crazy that you'll remember for a long time see Fuerzabruta at the Daryl Roth theater off union square (lower east about 14th street and Park). Wear something that can get wet.
