I am very curious about Carriage City. Friends of mine both moved into JC and Asbury Park in advantageous locations at the start of their turn arounds and are doing fabulously for being foresightful - increased property values, great restaurants, great location (JC for NYC; AP for its beaches).
The building is supposed to be open this May. Does anyone have any personal experiences or inside knowledge about this condo development?
I'm wondering if they are going cheap on the construction as they offer "Armstrong® Vinyl flooring" (aka linoleum) as a basic/included "Interior Unit Feature."
The penthouses sound kind of neat, too. But I cannot get any info about how big they are, how much they cost, or when they will be available. The Sales Director told me that they are not on the market yet and that I was to be put on a waiting list.
As for where I got me info, I've gathered a some from this site:
http://www.carriagecity.net/contact.html
And the rest from this WiredNY thread on Rahway:

Anything helpful you could add would help a lot. I am going to take a drive over there on Saturday to check out the neighborhood.
