Oceana is one of the most aesthetically considerate developments in NYC. Those building are a visual delight to look at from the beach. A lot of fine detail in the facade specially up top:). Aaand....it wasnt built 70 years ago. It was just finished a couple of years ago; which goes to show that developers can built aesthetically pleasing buildings. Puts most residentials that go up in Manhattan to shame.

True enough, but it seems like an enclave.

I don't live there but I visit it almost every week - have some friends in these new apartment buildings there. You should go and try the food there - for the most part it is quite excellent.
