Is there a way to mark a post as read. As in your e mail inbox

The reason, is to be able to mark as read those posts you don't want to open. As an occasional visitor to NYC I am not really interested in peoples troubles with wardrobes and stairways and curtains. (West End Avenue)

Likewise it would be useful to be able to mark as unread a post that you have opened but want to go back to.

then click 'Mark Forum Read" in the drop down menu it will clear all the highlighted threads but I don't know how to save particular threads -

I'll have to read those I want to read, quickly and hope no one posts something new, in the topics I am interested in before I have chance to mark the others as read.
