My dad is coming to town this weekend. I am fairly new to New York and was thinking about taking him to do one of the "typical" tourist attractions (like chinatown, empire state building, times square, etc.) but I'm wondering if anyone has specific suggestions for events taking place this weekend in lower manhattan (esp saturday). I mean stuff like festivals, free concerts, etc. - not stuff that's always around.
Also, any suggestions for a good, cheap restaurant in chinatown, soho, or les with healthy options? Doesn't have to be vegetarian.
Finally, I work at one of the big investment banks in the city and I know that we get in free to a bunch of the big museums in town; however, I asked around work today and nobody knew which museums have the "corporate discount" program. Is there a list somewhere - I know that all of the banks have the same kind of deal, so I would guess that the list is the same for all the banks.
Thanks,
Luke
