I have been told that there is (or used to be) a city ordinance about wearing ostentatious jewelry or handbags with long straps because is was considered "entrapment" for pickpockets, etc. Is this true?:rolleyes:

If there is or was such an ordinance I'm not aware of it. Sounds like an urban legend.
