I will be visting NYC in September,I am a Non-Drinker and I love to go out to Blues and Jazz Clubs where ever I am.
What`s considerd "Proper" for a Non-Drinker to order in a Club (If I`m Paying For A 2 Drink Minimum Anyway).
I am not "Sneared" at when visting Clubs here at home and not drinking alcohol, but I don`t know about NYC ...???
I lived on the Upper West Side in the early
1970`s, and I did drink alcohol back then and had great times at bars in the village as well as in my neighborhood.
I used to play in different bands in and around NYC back then...Anywhere a"Old" Blues Guitar Player can "Sit-In" for a few numbers...??? Any suggestions of quaint little blues clubs etc...???
Thanks for any suggestions or comments...!!!
I look forward to my visit to NYC after so many years...!!!

Good Luck & Good Music...

Seltzer with a splash of cranberry juice is a popular non-alcoholic drink because it's pretty, fairly low-cal, and even somewhat good for you -- can you tell I used to be a bartender?

Coca Cola is fine. You won't be sneered at; you'll pay the same as for booze.

There's a blues jam at Scotland Yard Bar in Hoboken, New Jersey.
Every Monday 9:30pm-2:30am
Every Saturday 4:30pm - 7:30pm

It is an easy ride from Manhattan via the PATH train.

A Wednesday night Manhattan jam is scheduled to begin in September at the Murray Street Grill.

As for drinking, bartenders are happy to sell you club soda, coke, or juice.

Best place for jazz at low cost is 55 Bar on Christopher Street. There's no charge for the early show and they really don't bother you to drink anything.
