Coming in to NY to see some Broadway shows (Mary Poppins, Wicked and Phantom). What are some of the best hotels to stay at to be close and within walking distance to each of these shows?

Really depends on your budget. When I first came to NYC we stayed in the Marriott Marquis on Broadway - fantastic to be so close to everything and right on the cusp of Times Sq.

Decent sized rooms and and revolving restaurant 42 floors up - popular with business & tourist travellers

If I were in the city for a show; that's where I'd stay

Park Central Hotel, 7th Avenue at 56th Street. Big and oldish, but well-kept, and easy to get steeply discounted rates through travel websites --which means you'll pay half what the Marriott will charge. Or try the Wellington, 7th Avenue at 55th Street. Or Comfort Inn, 129 West 46th Street.

Night Hotel on 45th. Small boutique hotel with an extremely friendly staff. Because it is so small, it's very personable.
