Staying in New York for 1 month

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice - me and my girlfriend are going to be stopping in NY for 1 month in Aug 2007 for our honeymoon - we would like to stop in an apartment and have approx $3/4000 in the budget - can anyone gives us any hints - where to stay, where to book it via etc etc?

I don't have personal experience with this hotel but it's a relatively new building that we on this forum have discussed, mostly about its (bad) architecture.

They are an extended stay hotel.

In fact, if you should choose to stay there, you can come back and let us know how it was inside.

Oops, sorry. I just checked their rate and they are charging $329/night!

So that's out of the question for you because that would go well over your $3000-$4000 budget.

I'm sure there are other places out there. You can check some hostels that have individual rooms that they rent out for substantially less than that.

Also use the search function in these subforums as I remember this question has come up before. Use keywords like bed, breakfast, extended, stay, long-term.

rent an apartment for a month. I will be cheaper than a hotel and you can cook somedays so you'll safe money... to lunch and dinner out a month in nyc will be tooo expensive!! even if you're in your honeymoon, dont know exactly but sure you can get an study in manhattan for 1200$/1500$ in a nice area..
