can someone recommend a good barber shop in midtown or lower manhattan that will cut african american type hair?

I still haven't found one that's reasonably priced. I'd suggest Harlem or Brooklyn.

I don't have african-american hair but I go to Astor Hair, on Astor Pl. under the Cold Stone Creamery. I think it's reasonably priced, I never had to wait for a chair and I see people of all colors in there getting cut.

pretty good haircut, i was in the chair for about 5 minutes tops haha, 13 bucks plus tip for a caesar......
